Senior Associate: Family , Child, Surrogacy & Employment Law

 

Bianca is qualified as a solicitor in both England and Wales and her first jurisdiction, Western Australia. She has practiced law in the UK since 2015 and is long-standing member of the team. She is a valued part of our family law team, advising on complex financial remedy cases and parental orders for our surrogacy clients, as well as often consulting on employment matters.

Bianca’s family law experience includes financial proceedings, divorce as well as child arrangement orders , fertility and surrogacy. For financial proceedings she has experience with high net worth couples and assets involving company structures, overseas properties and cross -jurisdictional disputes. She has advised on pre and post nuptial agreements and contested child arrangement orders. Bianca has experience as an instructing solicitor in international child law matters in the Family Division of the High Court at the Royal Courts of Justice. In Australia Bianca worked as a newly qualified solicitor for a large international law firm dealing with both divorce and financial proceedings.

Bianca has a deep interest in modern family law: fertility law , co-parenting and in particular surrogacy leading to her current case load. Over the last year she has helped resolve a contested parental order ; a problematice overseas surrogacy arrangement and a multi-jurisdictional contested divorce. 

He experience in employment law advising on all employment matters for both employees and employers, provides a solid basis for Bianca to assist our intended parents with any employment issues that they have. This is helpful for surrogacy and adoption clients as she affords employment advice and support throughout their journeys.

Acting for employees, Bianca has experience in employment discrimination and redundancy related employment law matters. With extensive experience in negotiating employment settlement agreements, Bianca has often bettered her client’s position significantly. Her clients are often vocal about her assistance exceeding their expectations and achieving excellent and just outcomes due to Bianca’s real passion for these cases.

Having successfully studied Sharia Law at University, Bianca has a keen interest in the intersection of Sharia Law and the common law and she is able to give an understanding to a number of cross-cultural issues and inheritance rules for our Middle Eastern clients.

Bianca completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Australia, and Practical Legal Training (LPC equivalent) with the College of Law in Western Australia. She joined ACLF in early 2015 after an Internship with the firm in 2013. She completed the Qualified Lawyers transfer Scheme and is now a qualified solicitor in England and Wales. Prior to becoming qualified, Bianca undertook an Internship with Toynbee Hall’s Free Legal Advice Centre in London giving her extensive experience in local legal issues.

Bianca returned to Toynbee Hall’s Women’s Saturday advice sessions in 2018 assisting clients with family law issues on a pro bono basis.

Bianca’s previous work in the performing arts in Western Australia included sitting on several Management Boards, as both artist and legal representative. Her experience in the creative industries gives her a great understanding of working with creatives, start-up ventures and the not for profit sector.

  • International child abduction matter in the Family Division of the High Court as instructing solicitor (2015).
  • Successful County Court litigation and debt recovery matters as instructing solicitor (2017, 2018).
