Solicitor (Western Australia)

Employment and Litigation Lawyer

Bianca qualified as a solicitor in Western Australia, but has practiced law in the UK since 2015 at ACLF. She is a valued part of our employment law team as well as working within our family team.

She advises on all employment matters for both employees and employers.

Acting for employees, Bianca has experience in employment discrimination, unfair dismissal, breach of contract and redundancy related matters. With extensive experience in negotiating employment settlement agreements, Bianca has often bettered her client’s position significantly. Her clients are often vocal about her assistance exceeding their expectations and achieving excellent and just outcomes due to Bianca’s real passion for these cases.

Bianca’s family law experience includes financial proceedings and divorce as well as child arrangement orders and surrogacy. For financial proceedings, she has experience with high net worth couples and assets involving company structures. She has assisted intended parents seeking parental orders following surrogacy and advised on pre & postnuptial agreements and contested child arrangement orders. Bianca has experience as an instructing solicitor in international child law matters in the Family Division of the High Court at the Royal Courts of Justice. In Australia, Bianca worked as a newly qualified solicitor for a large international law firm dealing with both divorce and financial proceedings.

Having successfully studied Sharia Law at University, Bianca has a keen interest in the intersection of Sharia Law and the common law and she is able to give an understanding to a number of cross-cultural issues and inheritance rules. This is a proven asset with our Middle Eastern clients.

Bianca completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Australia, and Practical Legal Training (LPC equivalent) with the College of Law in Western Australia. She joined ACLF in early 2015 after a short period with the firm in 2013 as an intern. She is currently studying to cross-qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales. Prior to becoming qualified, Bianca undertook an Internship with Toynbee Hall’s Free Legal Advice Centre in London giving her extensive experience in dealing with challenging client circumstances.

Bianca returned to Toynbee Hall’s Women’s Saturday advice sessions in 2018 assisting clients with family law, consumer law and litigation issues on a pro bono basis.

Bianca’s previous work includes running private and government-funded arts projects, where she sat on several management Boards, as both artist and legal representative. Her experience in the creative industries gives her a great skill base and understanding of working with creatives, entrepreneurs and start-up ventures.

  • Instructing solicitor in financial proceedings at the Central Family Court with parties combined assets of 12 million pounds.
  • International child abduction matter in the Family Division of the High Court as instructing solicitor(2015).

Thankfully A City Law was with us every step of the way

My partner and I were intended parents and worked with A City Law Firm and Bianca in what was a very complex surrogacy dispute where the surrogate initially refused to hand over the child to us. She ended up handing him over after about 2 weeks but then refused consent to a parental order and when we lodged an application for a child arrangement order, the surrogate lodged a counter application for him to live with her. Thus ensued months of stressful litigation. Thankfully A City Law was with us every step of the way and provided excellent legal advice and support. This was a very complex case and it was a pleasure to work with the team.

Bianca’s swift service was much appreciated.

a high settlement which exceeded my expectations

A City Law firm negotiated a high settlement which exceeded my expectations. Before I approached them I was struggling in knowing how to cope with an increasingly bitter and complex situation which had developed at work. I was scared of going to lawyers and the costs that could be involved but when I sat down in the initial meeting with Karen and Bianca they were so understanding, empathetic and human and explained everything clearly, professionally and with such kindness. It has meant I can start a fresh on my new business.
