Jagdeep Kaur Deo, is a litigation and insolvency solicitor working within our busy commercial team. She has over 5 years post qualification so is an experienced consultant solicitor .
She is multi-skilled specialising in dispute resolution, particularly civil and commercial litigation, property litigation and insolvency. She is an assertive lawyer, that gets successful outcomes, yet is very approachable with a positive outlook and can-do attitude.

Insolvency & bankruptcy:
Acting for petitioning creditors; serving and defending statutory demands and bankruptcy/winding up petitions, advocacy at court hearings, application for substituted and deemed service and instructing third party agents. Applications for possession proceedings or for validation orders, advising on contingent liabilities, application for restoration of company to register.
Acting/advising in court proceedings re residential and commercial possession proceedings including mortgagee possession claims, section 21 and section 8 notices, advising leaseholders re dispute with service company and freeholder. She is also able to address construction contractual disputes, building planning and liability claims including arbitration .
Civil and commercial litigation:
Pre-action and claims or defending such applications. Application to vary judgment and pay by instalments or suspending enforcement of judgment; Advocacy before Master in High Court re injunction application and claims in the small claims court. Director/shareholder dispute, summary judgment/strike out application, application for judgment following admission, advising on contesting jurisdiction, oral examination applications, applications for third party debt order. Professional negligence, breach of contractual or fiduciary duties
She has previously advised at the Citizens Advice Bureau ; she received a distinction at BPP Law School during her Legal Practice Course and participates in charitable pursuits such as the Shine Night Marathon to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
