I first met and instructed Ms Johnston in 2007 to advise and support me through a divorce and associated children’s matters. This should have been a relatively simple process given our particular circumstances, but unfortunately decree absolute was obtained as late as 2011, with conclusion of the settlement of finances taking a further couple of years. During this period my ex-wife engaged and dismissed two different law firms before briefly representing herself, and finally instructing a third solicitor. I valued Ms Johnston’s patience, ability to listen and her calm and considered approach in what was the most challenging and prolonged circumstances for me.

I also had cause to consult her last year, but this time in respect of a civil litigation matter. Again, she used her calm, considered approach, and feel that I was given a clear explanation of my legal position, and given good advice. I have no hesitation in recommending her to act for anyone, given similar circumstances.
